  • How we started

    The idea behind Kavach Essentials was born out of a growing global concern-air pollution and its direct impact on human health. According to a survey by the World Health Organisation (WHO), air pollution is a major contributor to human deaths, causing more than 4.2 million deaths every year worldwide.


    WHO reports further reveal that inhaling poor-quality air is one of the world’s largest indirect health risks today. Nearly 90% of the global population breathes air that is harmful to basic bodily functions. Breathing clean air is not a luxury-it is a fundamental human need. An average human takes nearly 20,000 breaths every day, which means thousands of polluted particles enter the body daily without us even realising it.


    This reality pushed us to ask a simple but urgent question:
    How can we help people protect themselves from pollution in their everyday lives?
    That question became the foundation of Kavach Essentials.

  • What we do

    At Kavach Essentials, we design and create pollution-protective scarves and unisex masks that help reduce exposure to harmful airborne particles. Our products are made for daily use-whether you’re commuting, traveling, working outdoors, or spending long hours in polluted environments.


    We focus on combining protection, comfort, and practicality, ensuring that our products are easy to wear, gentle on the skin, and suitable for extended use. Every piece is designed to fit seamlessly into modern lifestyles without compromising on safety or usability.

    We approach our work with responsibility, care, and intention. Our products are created through clean craft practices, using electricity-powered machines and skilled workmanship to maintain consistency, precision, and quality. We work closely with experienced women tailors who form an essential part of our production process.


    Each design goes through thoughtful planning-from fabric selection and stitching to fit and finish-ensuring durability and comfort. By producing in limited quantities and focusing on functional design rather than trends, we create products that are reliable, long-lasting, and meaningful.

Kavach Essentials provides work opportunities to women who are unemployed or in need of stable income. These women are an integral part of our production process and work as our skilled tailors and makers. Through fair work and long-term collaboration, we support independence, dignity, and growth.

We are committed to creating pollution-free scarves through responsible processes and mindful material use. Waste is minimized, and leftover fabric is reused wherever possible to reduce environmental impact and encourage cleaner fashion practices.
